We enable our students to make a positive difference in their communities by:

• Equipping them with interpersonal and technical skills
• Encouraging them to develop critical thinking
• Inspiring them to serve others

Interpersonal and technical skills

We aim to give our students a practical education that will allow them to find gainful employment immediately after graduation. English fluency, computer literacy, and the ability to function in an office environment are all key skills that are required in today's workplace and therefore are included in our program.

In addition to teaching these technical skills, we also teach students how to get along well with others and how to work as a team toward common goals, despite any differences in class, religion or ethnicity. We put a strong focus on personal development, ethics, and principles such as honesty and integrity.

Critical thinking

Beacon Hill is more than just a vocational school. Since most students are unable to attend university, we also aim to increase their general knowledge of the world and their ability to think critically about issues that are relevant to their lives. Our goal is to expand their worldview so that they have the ability to formulate their own ideas and the potential to become future leaders.

Service to the community

Finally, our hope is that all of the above will be joined together with a desire to serve the community and use what they've been given to make a difference in other people's lives, not just their own. This idea is summed up in our school motto, "Live a dream. Make a difference."

Our program is provided free-of-charge so that all students, regardless of their background, have an equal opportunity to succeed in life. Our focus is on the upcountry region since there are very few opportunities for higher education in this area.
