School policies overview

At BHA, our policies are designed with a view of training our students into the attitudes and behaviours that will be needed for them to perform well within a professional environment.

Though most schools in Sri Lanka rely on a uniform to keep their students looking well-dressed, we feel that teaching students how to choose outfits suitable for a work environment is a more desirable skill. As such, our dress code requires students to dress as they will need to in their future employment.

We are strict on attendance and grades, requiring students to go on probation when our policies are not followed. By requiring presence and demanding a high quality of work, we instill in our students a value for punctuality and engagement with their work at hand.

Integrity is the foundation for any positive relationship, both at home and at work. At BHA, we do not tolerate dishonesty, cheating, or any behaviour both inside and outside of school that goes against a high moral character. Our desire is that students will take these values deep into their character, and thereby take these values into their future families and employement, thereby strengthening the fabric of Sri Lankan society.

Since English is the primary reason why students choose to attend BHA, we follow a strict "English Only" code at BHA to develop every student's fluency to the maximum possible within the year they are with us.
